Emin Amrullayev’s attitude towards the merger of schools with a small number of students

“If some educational institutions with a small number of students are not suitable for teaching, we do not merge the schools, we simply transfer them to another school.”

Oku.Az This was stated by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev in his statement to journalists.

According to the Minister, the number of schools in emergency situations is decreasing every year:

“Four years ago there were more than 900 schools in ruins, but this year most of them have been repaired and the number has been halved. However, there are still more than 400 schools in ruins, and I believe that if we continue to do so in the coming years, the problem will be eliminated.

The second point is that it is not economically correct to maintain schools with 3-5 pupils. In this case, such schools are periodically combined with other schools. Here we take into account the teachers’ workplaces and social factors.”
