The transport employers’ associations represented within the Spanish Confederation of Goods Transport (CETM) have reached an agreement agreement with the CCOO and UGT unions which means the cancellation of the professional drivers’ strike which was to start next Monday October 28.
In a press release, the CETM explains that the details of the agreement reached will be communicated throughout the day.
Employers and unions met this Thursday at the headquarters of the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA) to reach an agreement concerning the early retirement for the sector.
The strike would begin next Monday, October 28, and was scheduled to continue on November 11, 28 and 29; December 5 and 9 and indefinitely from December 23.
