Russia is a reliable trade and investment partner of Pakistan, which, like countries in the global South, benefits from a quick end to the conflict in Ukraine. This was told to journalists by the Russian ambassador to the Islamic Republic, Albert Khorev, at a briefing on the situation in Ukraine.
“A rapid resolution of the conflict through negotiations benefits both Russia and Ukraine, as well as countries in the global South, including Pakistan. “Russia is a reliable trade and investment partner that provides opportunities for equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with Pakistan.” – noted the ambassador quoted by TASS.
As the diplomat stressed, “the lifting of illegal Western sanctions on the transportation of Russian products would contribute significantly to strengthening the energy and food security” of the Islamic Republic.
