Germany needs an energy balance, which is only possible with cheap Russian gas. This opinion was expressed by Alice Weidel, co-chair of the opposition party Alternative for Germany.
In an interview with Kompakt, Weidel said:
“We need a diversified energy mix. This includes nuclear power, coal power and cheap Russian gas.”
According to the politician, “the AfD as a whole represents the votes of the voters,” and these preferences in terms of energy security come precisely from the German citizens who support Alternativa.
