Erató Fest returns, from October 3 to 6, with more music, poetry and heritage

From October 3 to 6, the Erato Festivala non-profit, interdisciplinary festival that brings together music, poetry, heritage and environmental education activities. The advisor for culture and heritage, Ana Perezpresented this Monday the seventh edition of this festival, accompanied by its director, Jose Julian Uceta; the provincial delegate of Education, Culture and Sports of the Council of Communities of Castile-La Mancha, Jose Gutierrez and the CEO of Cervezas La Sagra, Carlos Garcia, company that will once again be the official sponsor of this event.

The Toledo City Council renews its commitment to this festival, which will take place at the San Servando Castle as the main venue of the festival. concerts of Samuraï, Vuelo Fiji or Tu Otra Bonita, and with “magnificent views of the Tagus and Toledo,” as Ana Pérez pointed out.

The Mayor of Culture assured that this festival, already established in the city, and which “is really special”, combines music, poetry and environmental activities. Ana Pérez praised the importance of the collaboration between different institutions and companies to carry out in Toledo “a beautiful cultural program that people can enjoy and leave behind.”

The entire program of activities was announced this Monday during a presentation that took place at the Toledo City Hall. It Erato Festival will begin on October 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Royal Foundation of Toledo, the usual observatory of the Tagus River that crosses Toledo, to present the progress of the “Guardians of the Tagus” program through various presentations. And at 8:00 p.m., in the gardens of the Victorio Macho Museumwill be the opening night, with live performances from Club del Río and Samu del Río.

On October 4th at dawn, a hot air balloon will fly over the city and Alexxandra (Delaporte) He will perform a DJ set in the heights. This session will be recorded so that everyone, anywhere in the world, can enjoy it online afterwards and will be shared on the festival’s social networks, those of the artist and on CMM Play. The session can also be heard on 808, the electronic music program of Radio Castilla-La Mancha.

The San Servando Castle, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary as a National Monument, will once again be the main venue, where two days of unforgettable concerts will take place, starting at dusk, at 7:30 p.m., on October 4 and 5. The groups are: Samurai, Tu Otra Bonita, Shego, Ede, Bita, Samu Envenenadub and Vuelo Fidji.

In addition, in the agenda of activities of this year’s Erató Fest, there is a great novelty: the garbage collection, an initiative belonging to the Más Tajo de La Sagra project and the Royal Foundation of Toledo. It will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m., when a cleaning and reforestation campaign will be carried out on the banks of the Tagus, in the La Peraleda area. An activity that will be carried out with the collaboration of the Toledo City Council and Arba Toledo, an entity focused on the recovery of native vegetation and degraded places. On October 6, the festival will close with a poetry recital starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Sephardic Museum, by the poets. Aitana Monzon (Espasa Es Poetry Prize 2021) and Maria Paz Otero (Adonáis Poetry Prize 2023), and the acoustic music of the Portuguese artist living in Spain Mateo Falgas.

The director of Erató Fest, José Julián Uceta, thanked the Toledo City Council for its support, which will allow the festival to continue growing “in a sustainable and unstoppable way” and reaffirming its social aspect. “At Erató Fest we are moved by our love for Toledo, that is why we continue to support a festival to enjoy and get excited about, but also to think about the city we want to live in the future. Cerveza La Sagra, as official sponsor of the event, will offer its beer exclusively in the different points of sale of the festival so that attendees can enjoy their drinks during the concerts.
