EROSKI and the Red Cross signed a collaboration agreement to promote integration into the labor market of women victims of gender violencea group that has fewer opportunities to access employment.
In this way, changes towards a fair and egalitarian labor market. In addition, both entities will promote the dissemination of social awareness campaigns and messages.
The agreement was signed by the regional employment manager of the Spanish Red Cross, Therese Romeroand the head of the EROSKI Equality Observatory, Marta Carazoas part of 25-N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
“It is always a pleasure to have committed, dynamic and relevant companies like EROSKI, aligned alongside the Red Cross to carry out the full integration of all people who find themselves in difficult situations. Employment thus becomes one of the key elements for the total integration of these people,” underlines the regional employment manager of the Spanish Red Cross, Teresa Romero.
“With the signing of this agreement, we are taking a new step with the firm desire to help women victims of gender-based violence enter the world of work and integrate into our team, confident that this will contribute to their recovery and construction of its new future. All this aims to contribute effectively to making possible a fairer and more united society, a commitment which has been part of our corporate values since our origin,” explained the head of the EROSKI Equality Observatory, Marta Carazo.
It should be remembered that EROSKI has had the Equality Observatory since 2005, a tool to guarantee respect for this principle throughout the organization, which celebrated its 18th anniversary in 2023. And, in 2023, with the approval of the EROSKI Group Equality Plan, it created an Equality Commission for all the companies that make it up.
