The defense of Íñigo Errejón, Sumar’s former spokesperson in Congress until last October 24, when anonymous complaints of gender-based violence began to emerge, asked the Madrid Provincial Court to revoke the suspension of the investigation of the complaint presented by the actress Elisa Mouliaá accepted by the investigating judge Adolfo Carretero.
The defense argues that the instructor violated Errejón’s right to judicial protection by accepting the request for suspension of the proceedings requested by Mouliaá’s lawyer, Carla Vall, “in fraud of the law”, since this lawyer knows , even before attending the procedure, that she will not be able to intervene due to her advanced state of pregnancy and the maternity leave that follows.
Errejón opted for a direct appeal to the Provincial Court, to which he requests the reopening of the procedure “so that Íñigo Errejón can testify as soon as possible to publicly defend his innocence”.
