Amsterdamthe only major beer brand “Made in the Valencian Community”, celebrates on November 1st and 2nd in Valencia Esmorzafestthe I Lunch Festival. A gastronomic and recreational competition born with a universal vocation to continue making this particular Valencian custom known throughout the world.
THE Nursery gardensemblematic space of Valencia and closely linked to the cultural and entertainment offer, has been the venue chosen for this 1st Lunch Festival. In addition to live shows, draft beers and other leisure activities, the Esmorzafest will host the final of Som Esmorzadors, the call organized by the brewery, for the fourth consecutive year, to choose the best lunch and which this year has been extended to more than 36,000 establishments in the Valencian Community.
The Som Esmorzadors final will be played between five baristas who have passed the previous phase. Between September 9 and October 20, everyone can vote electronically for their favorite lunch registered on www.somesmorzadors.com, by entering the PIN codes located on the neck of the special edition Amstel bottle.
As part of the festival, the five most voted will participate in an in vivo cooking competition during which they will present their recipes, made with a maximum of four ingredientsall of Valencian origin. There will also be a popular prize for the sandwich that the Esmorzafest participants have enjoyed the most.
The winner of this new edition of the Som Esmorzadors call will receive a Cacau d’Or, the awards that have been paying tribute to this Valencian gastronomic tradition for more than ten years and that have the support of the brewery as part of its commitment to Valencian festivals and traditions.
How to get free tickets to Esmorzafest
It is expected that around 8,000 people will be able to attend Esmorzafest, for which the brewery has set up a system of free tickets that can be obtained using the PIN codes of the new Amstel “Feta en Comunitat Valenciana” bottles, from September 9. or with the product purchase receipt in stores, supermarkets or department stores, a promotion active since September 26.
So, for 5 PIN codes or for 10 euros of purchase, you will receive a free ticket to the festival, as well as a free beer for those who go to lunch. On the other hand, those who wish can also buy the ticket directly at Esmorzafest which will include, in addition to the entrance to the venue, a drink to try some of the gastronomic proposals that the baristas participating in the event will offer.
Cultural lunch
The celebration of Esmorzafest coincides this year with the tenth anniversary of the Cacau D’Or Awardawards that seek to enhance the gastronomic experience of esmorzar. Amstel, which belongs to HEINEKEN Spain, has collaborated since the beginning with the digital community #CulturaDelmuerzo, promoter of these awards that recognize the people who, through their work, have made possible this custom, which has its origins in the Valencian orchard, to exist until today based on culinary innovation and good product.
Throughout this decade, the Cacau d’Or have rewarded the gastronomic proposals proposed by places such as Bar Rausell, La Pérgola, Beluga, Pizcueta 14, Marvi, Pitti, Central Bar, La Pascuala, Pelayo Gastro Trinquet, Nuevo Olso and Casa Baldoamong others.
The brewery has a special prize, the Premi Cacau d’Or Especial Amstel, which is awarded to the winning hotelier of Som Esmorzadors and which in the last edition went to the Ca Rakel bar. In addition to winning one of these Cacau d’Or, the winning establishments are awarded 3,000 euros of exclusive material for the bar and 1,000 euros of product, as well as visibility in the media and social networks.
