He battled cancer for years
This Wednesday, the city of Toledo woke up to the sad news of the death of Stephen Ragswho served as a Toledo city councilman for eight years. He had been fighting pancreatic cancer since 2021, which took him to Toledo this morning. He served as spokesperson for Ciudadanos from 2015 to 2023 and was one of the city’s most appreciated councilors, for his way of doing politics, seeking consensus and for his commitment to Toledo.
In 2023, he ran for office again, with the same strength as usual, while undergoing severe chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, which only manifested itself in his hair loss, as he continued to fight for his city.
His death has sparked countless messages of condolence.
