Pavel Herchinsky, the ambassador of the European Union in Georgia, said these words to the “Report”.
“The EU is trying to support the solution to climate change and environmental issues that are important for the entire planet. Hosting such a prestigious event by Azerbaijan will increase attention to climate issues in the region,” he said.
The ambassador thanked Baku for hosting COP29.
Herchinskiy added the importance of international cooperation in the fight against climate change and that joint efforts will bring results: “Such measures will further strengthen cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan and create a platform to discuss environmental issues.”
