The EU will allocate $100 million to support the Afghan people and development projects in the agricultural sector. This was stated by the EU envoy in Afghanistan, Veronica Boskovic Pokhar, in a meeting with the head of the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Din Mohammad Hanif, in Kabul, Ariana News reports.

Hanif expressed gratitude for the EU’s humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan and called for continued assistance in various sectors.

For his part, Bošković Pohar expressed his satisfaction with the economic achievements and programs of the Islamic Emirate and assured Hanifa that a conference on supporting small businesses will be held in the near future. He also assured him that he would share the objectives, ideas and proposals of the Ministry of Economy with the members of the EU and the international community.
