The first round matches of the UEFA Europa League are being played.
Oku.Az reports that one of the matches of interest to Azerbaijani sports fans was held between the Turkish club “Fenerbagcha” and the Belgian club “Union”.
In the match played at the Şükrü Saracoğlu complex in Istanbul, the home team opened the scoring. In the 26th minute, Çağlar Soyüncü scored the goal.
The second half was less fruitful for the visitors. In the 74th minute, the Belgians were outnumbered. In the 82nd minute, the Union player increased the lead by putting the ball into his own goal.
In the final minutes, the Fener player was given a red card. A little later, although the Belgians managed to reduce the gap, they were unable to shake off the 2-1 defeat.
