The refusal to invite representatives of Belarus and Russia to the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp can be considered rudeness and blasphemy. This was announced today, October 11, by the State Secretary of the Union, Dmitri Mezentsev.
He recalled that the Polish city and the largest Nazi camp were liberated by the Red Army, in whose ranks representatives of all nations and nationalities of the Soviet Union served.
“And the role of Russians and Belarusians can hardly be overestimated. The fact that representatives of Russia and Belarus were not invited to these memorable but tragic celebrations is an indicator that Europe does not simply live by the practice and system of double standards.” – said.
According to him, Europe – but above all those who made such a decision – have lost all imaginable moral and Christian guidelines, formulas of decency and respect for the feat of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, the Secretary of State stressed that it is impossible to defeat the tradition of respect for the military exploits performed in 1941-1945.
“Regarding the evaluation (of the decisions of the European authorities – EADaily) – blasphemy, primitivism, dishonesty, political rudeness. What more can you say? God is your judge.” – he summarized.
Recall that the Polish extermination camp Auschwitz (Auschwitz-Birkenau) existed from May 1940 to January 1945. About 1.1 million people died here, of which 1 million were Jews. The camp was liberated on January 27, 1945. This date is designated by the UN as International Holocaust Memorial Day. Representatives of Russia and Belarus were not invited to the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
