He Today’s review by Teresa Ribera in front of European parliamentarians, before occupying their coveted seat of commissioner and vice-president of the Commissionit would have been much quieter if it had taken place two Tuesdays ago. It is not that 15 days ago there was not enough information to assess the minister’s suitability to occupy such a relevant position, but that the events clearly revealed the character’s shame.
I would like to clarify that at this moment there is an opportunity to talk about one of the protagonists of the day, but there is no opportunism. Because I have already written this article on numerous occasions, notably during the energy crisis or because of conflicts between farmers and breeders. And contrary to what the minister is showing today, what is normal and consistent, and even decent, is to always have the same opinion on the same situations and the same problems.
Indeed, the disaster of October 29 He has lifted the veil of translucent respectability that could still remain, not because he has done anything so far to support it, but because he is a public servant with enormous responsibilities. And the fact is that in the government itself, his dark personality and his few scruples are known, typical of someone who has no shame in always taking his own side. He shares with Pedro Sánchez both ambition and insensitivity to the needs of others, and problems and opportunities are only such if they are aimed at them. She differs from the President, however, in that she is not a prima donna and that is why she is developing a remarkable capacity for evasion, which has been evident over the past fortnight.
The thing comes from far away. With its ideology of pijiprogre and his outdated environmentalism has generated problems and inconveniences since the beginning of his poor performance in the executive branch. And whatever subject we examine, his works reveal it: an electricity production matrix that prevents the fall in the price of electricity and the closure of nuclear power plants that lead us to energy dependence; water management policies with the removal of infrastructure and the failure to carry out new projects; the saturation of wind power plants and solar parks which will already be obsolete when they become profitable and which will never pay the costs of their installation and dismantling; nails bans on the sale of diesel vehicles that seriously harm one of our main export industries; an absurd limitation on the use of fertilizers which endangers the economic viability of many crops in Spain and Europe; a prohibitionist, animal and demagogue vision of hunting or bullfighting which, in addition to harming extensive breeding or the maintenance of natural spaces, harms important economic sectors and the cultural and leisure activities of million Spaniards.
But, moreover, that fateful Tuesday radically revealed the lie and absurdity of some of the pseudo-conservationist actions of the future commissioner: restrictions on canal cleaning and decision not to undertake (or even destroy) hydraulic works for channeling, collecting and retaining water. In our country, no major projects have been carried out since those started under Franco were completed in the 1980s, even though the population has increased by a third and consumption has tripled. More precisely, the cancelation swamps, transfers and other works in the Júcar and Segura basins not only reduce the capacities of fertile Levantine agriculture and tourism and leisure, but, as we have unfortunately suffered, they also increase the risks for the population. in the face of meteorological phenomena.
Well, here is what it is, gentlemen of European parliamentarians: Ribera is nothing more than an exaggerated climate change activist who would not have been a candidate for anything without having been a minister.; and this is the true examination of what he did during the six years in which he served as such in the government of the Kingdom of Spain. like him wokism It’s a downward trend and she knows what they want to hear, she will give them a moderate and softened speech, with winks to all political groups and with proposals diametrically opposed to what she has defended so far. You will be fooled and pretend to evaluate it, but we all know that the position is guaranteed because it is part of the remuneration of the President of the Commission. Let him leave as quickly as possible and God willing, he won’t cause us too much trouble!
