Exciting vacations on a budget: AI identifies the 7 most affordable countries for Israelis

Artificial intelligence Claude, at the request of Israel Hayom newspaper, suggested seven countries where you can spend an affordable holiday without breaking the bank.

1. Georgia

Average cost of living per day: around 150 shekels

Georgia has become a popular destination for Israelis and offers excellent value for money. Stunning scenery, delicious food and warm hospitality make it an attractive destination for budget travelers. You can enjoy a traditional meal with local wine for around NIS 30-40, and staying in a hostel or home will cost you between NIS 40-60 per night.

2.Portugal

Average daily expenses: about 190 shekels

Portugal is ideal for exploring Western Europe on a budget. Thanks to the country’s economic situation, you can enjoy stunning beaches, scenic hiking trails and superb wine regions at prices that compare favorably with those in other Eurozone countries. A shared room in a hostel can cost around NIS 70 per night, but a decent meal costs just NIS 60.

3. Argentina

Average daily expenses: about 190 shekels

Thanks to high inflation, Argentina has become a budget traveler’s dream. In El Chalten you can enjoy a juicy steak and a bottle of Malbec for less than 95 shekels. A guided tour of Patagonia can cost around 1,700 NIS, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s still affordable.

4.Vietnam

Average daily expenses: about 230 shekels

Vietnam is a paradise for budget travelers, offering rich cultural experiences and varied landscapes. You can try the soft and delicious banh mi in Ho Chi Minh City or take a tour of Ha Long Bay. Hostel accommodation costs just a few shekels a day, and delicious street food will set you back around 4 shekels.

5.Indonesia

Average daily expenses: around 230 NIS

Indonesia is home to 17,000 islands, stunning beaches, volcanoes and amazing wildlife. Local food and comfortable hostel accommodation can be found for around NIS 95-115 per day. Don’t miss the Sacred Monkey Forest and Borobudur Temple.

6. South Africa

Average cost: around 270 shekels per day.

Although flying to Cape Town can be expensive, once you get there you’ll be amazed at how low the costs are. A fantastic dinner for two will cost you less than NIS 170. You can enjoy beautiful beaches, hike Table Mountain, and experience amazing wildlife in Kruger National Park.

7. Costa Rica

Average cost per day: around 440 shekels

Although Costa Rica is a bit more expensive than other options, it still offers an amazing vacation at reasonable prices. You’ll be able to explore lush rainforests and volcanoes on both coasts of this small country. By staying in hostels and cooking your own meals, you can cut your daily expenses down to around NIS 190.

In all of these places, as elsewhere, you can save money by taking public transportation, eating at local restaurants instead of big chains, and taking free tours.
