The Governing Council of the Government of Extremadura has given the green light to the creation of a platform aimed at improve the digital security of SMEswill be operational in the first half of 2025 and will offer its service to businesses for 16 months, as highlighted on Tuesday, October 29 by spokesperson, Victoria Bazaga.
As he pointed out, the creation of this innovative platform will allow small and medium-sized businesses analyze your digital security situation“SMEs are the most vulnerable to online attacks” and with this platform they will have access to free training to manage their protection against digital threats.
For its implementation, the Government of Extremadura will invest 1 million euros and the region will become the first Autonomous Community in protecting the digital security of their companies, as the spokesperson highlighted.
With this implementation, the Government of Extremadura claims to respond to the commitments acquired after the accession of Extremadura to the agreement between the National Institute of Cybersecurity of Spain (INCIBE) and several autonomous communities within the framework of the RETECH call (Territorial Networks of Technological Specialization) from the Secretary of State responsible for digitalization and artificial intelligence.
Assistance in hiring qualified personnel in rural areas
Continuing measures aimed at supporting businesses, the Government Council approved direct aid to promote qualified employment in rural areas. This is the ATENEO Rural Collaborative program for comprehensive care of people in situations or at risk of social exclusion and consists of the development of orientation, tutoring and intermediation itineraries and alternating training with a job for their socio-professional integration in the corresponding rural areas. . to municipalities in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants.
In this new appeal, the Government of Extremadura increased the budget item from 2.1 to 3 million euros and will allow hire 240 people in rural areas. Aid which, as Victoria Bazaga points out, will cover salary costs and social security.
