Fadley Zones visits the Chinese National Museum, Keris is represented as a symbol of cultural diplomacy

Liputan6.com, jakarta – The Minister of Culture (Menbud) Fadley Zones, visited the National Museum of China (National Museum of China/NMC) in Beijing. This visit was to strengthen cultural relations between Indonesia and China.

This visit began with a meeting with the deputy director of the Chinese National Museum, Chang Weiming, as well as with the symbolic delivery of Keris, the cultural heritage of Indonesia, which UNESCO was written as the cultural heritage of the soil from November 25, 2005.

At this meeting, Minister Fadley of zones emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy in the construction of interethnic relations.

“The representation of this Keris is a friendship bridge between two large and old civilizations in the world, namely China and Indonesia,” Fadley Zones said in a statement received on Sunday (07/13/2025).

The Chinese National Museum contains more than 1.4 million collections, including ancient and modern artifacts, ceramics, manuscripts and various classical works of art. Among them are more than 815,000 ancient cultural artifacts, 340,000 modern cultural artifacts and almost 6,000 first -level cultural objects (first -class cultural relics).

This museum is known for its constant exhibitions, such as “Ancient China”, “Roading Road” and “Road of Rejuvenation: New Era”, which includes a long history of Chinese civilization from prehistoric times to the modern era.

The museum collection includes various important dynasties, such as Shan, Zhou, Qin, Khan, Tang, Qing, and a demonstration of the wealth of Chinese cultural heritage, such as ancient bronze, ceramics, jade, textiles and others.
