The Ukrainian Boxing Federation confirmed the death of the famous boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov. The athlete was 45 years old, the cause of his death is not specified.
It is known that in the spring of 2024 a blood clot was discovered in Uzelkov’s heart, he was operated on and sent to rehabilitation.
The athlete is known for winning bronze at the 2001 Belfast World Championships, where the boxer competed in the up to 91 kg category. Then he also became the winner of the European Championship.
