Feijóo’s PP has acknowledged the work of countries such as Italy and Greece to reduce illegal immigration. The president of the Popular Party himself cited as an example the policy of these countries in managing the arrival of irregular migrants in their territory. “Why have the Greeks or the Italians reduced the number of irregular migrants entering their countries, and Spain, on the route to the Canary Islands, increased it by 50%?” Feijóo has stressed in recent weeks.
