We are talking about need for ethical leadership“, it was with these words that Felipe VI addressed the 1,600 businessmen present at the closing of the XXIII Congress of Directors of the CEDE (Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives) held this Thursday in La Coruña.
Amid applause, the King was warmly welcomed to the Herculean city, where he began his closing speech in memory of those affected by DANA in Valencia, Castile-La Mancha and Andalusia, thanking the help provided by the business world. He then congratulated Spanish entrepreneurs for their efforts and vision to address the challenges facing the country. A casuistry that develops before the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the environment of “dizzying technological evolution” that it implies.
“This context invites us to be very vigilant and to think about how to take best and timely advantage of AI as a strategic tool. But also on the inevitable management of change in the organization itself and how promote the responsible use of technologies what this implies”, underlined the King. A technological revolution which will make it possible to optimize processes, improve decision-making and promote innovation, essential “to continue to be competitive in a new and increasingly more unstable and changing.
Don Felipe also referred to the European commitment to establish a regulatory framework “to make the most of AI opportunities” and good situation in Spain in aspects such as welcoming new projects and investments, with particular importance for the ICT, robotics and automotive sectors, as well as their connectivity and the progressive digitalization of Spanish SMEs.
“The entire European economy, and in particular the Spanish economy, is experiencing an unprecedented structural transformation towards a more digital, sustainable and ecological futurewhich offers new development opportunities to the European and Spanish economy and businesses. Let us look at this with hope, but with the certainty that we are doing our homework,” concluded Felipe VI.
