Felipe VI visits the Baqa’a Palestinian refugee camp which hosts more than 90,000 people in Jordan

Then, Felipe VI went to the library where he held a meeting with a dozen young refugees and representatives of the local community, beneficiaries of the UNRWA project, and was able to chat with them to discover first-hand what their life is like in the refugee camp.

As the statement highlights, UNRWA received, between 2021 and 2024, 3.25 million euros for this project.

Additionally, the monarch was accompanied by Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel Albareswho made this trip with Felipe VI.

After this visit, Felipe VI was received at the Al Husseiniya Palace by Abdullah IIwhere both maintained a bilateral meeting which will be followed by a working lunch which will close the visit of less than 24 hours.
