Currently, 8,500 soldiers from the three armies and the Royal Guard, 2,103 of them, belonging to the Military Emergency Unit (UME), are deployed in the municipalities of the Valencian Community affected by the storm, 72 in total over an area of ​​4,608 square kilometers, or 43% of the total area. province of Valencia.

This Friday, the Ministry of Defense increased bynew troops intended for the operationwhich come from units throughout Spain. Concretely, for this day, new troops of the chief of engineers of the army were deployed, the Navy increased the number of ships for the search and location of deceased or missing people on the coast and six other diving teams. Additionally, the Air Force has aircraft ready at its bases to begin relief operations.

They use 2,089 media, including specialized intervention vehicles, helicopters, drones and engineering machines, among others. According to data provided on Friday, the Armed Forces carried out 595 operations, but some of them have not yet been completed due to their complexity. The armed forces are currently focusing on four towns classified as red by the authorities: Paiporta, Catarroja, Chiva and Masanasa.
