Félix Bolaños asks the PP “not to invent implausible excuses” for not negotiating a solution to the migration crisis in the Canaries

The Minister of the Presidency and Relations with the Cortes, Felix Bolanosdefended this Saturday the decision of the PSOE to cancel the convening of the regional congress of the party in Castilla y León. “It’s time for the federal congress. There will be time for others,” he said in reference to the internal criticism the federal leadership of the party receives.

This Saturday, León MP Andrea Fernández harshly criticized this decision in a message on her social networks: “We do not want a PSOE serving the Cosa Nostra“. Asked about this before his speech at the La Toja Forum, Bolaños explained that he considered it a “reasonable decision” that the regional congresses “take place later.”

The minister severely attacked the Popular Party for its position on immigration: “I ask the PP not to invent opposite excuses, secondly that it has responsibilities and thirdly, and above all, that it has humanity: there must be an agreement. tell people.”

He was also asked about Felipe González’s proposal to “reset” the Constitution to guarantee “the territorial integrity of the state.” Bolaños did not want to discuss with the former President of the Government, but he took the opportunity to indicate that the Government represents “intelligent patriotism” and that The Magna Carta “enjoys very good health”. “We will always work to strengthen it: this is the first legislature during which the first social reform of the Constitution took place,” he added.

Finally, regarding the agreement with Bildu to reform the Citizen Security Law, Bolaños said that “it is a government commitment” and that its objective is to “combine citizen security with the exercise of fundamental rights.” Regarding the criticisms of another former president of the government, José María Aznar, who denounced the “moral stagnation of the government” due to this agreement, Bolaños wanted to argue, although with irony: “In inappropriate, hyperbolic statements, I’m not even going in.” “The Government will always stand alongside the citizen security forces and organizations,” he concluded.
