THE FIA announced this Tuesday the sanction to Alpine (Renault) and Sling for not respecting the budget cap regulations last season.
Within a maximum period of 30 days and after signing an Accepted Non-Conformity Agreement, the French must pay a fine of $600,000while that of the Japanese amounts to 400,000.
As reported by the FIA, Alpine “relevant information omitted” and was delayed in sending the documents.
Honda, Red Bull driver, included expenses excluded and erroneous in their cost calculations.
“They acted cooperatively and in good faith throughout the review process and attempted to provide additional information and evidence when requested in a timely manner,” the FIA noted in its statement.
