Fight between brothers: he caught the woman cheating

Ulvi Abbasov, born in 1995 in the Ujar region, injured his brother Rauf Abbasov during a dispute over personal relations.

According to Demokrat.az, the incident took place on December 29 last year in one of the villages in the Ujar region. After seeing his brother Rauf’s wife Ulviyya talking to a stranger on a mobile phone, Ulvi reprimanded his brother. Because of this, a dispute arose between the brothers. During the argument, Ulvi hit his brother’s face once with his head and injured him.

The perpetrator of the incident, Ulvi Abbasov, was charged under Article 128 of the Criminal Code (intentional damage to health).

Ulvi, who testified as an accused in the criminal case, accepted the charge. He said he is married, has two small children and lives with his parents in the village of Ujar district, in the house of his brother Rauf.

“Rauf is also married and lives in the same house with his family. On December 29, at around 7 p.m., I assumed that Rauf’s wife Ulvia was secretly talking to someone on her mobile phone. I got angry and called Rauf and asked him where he was. Rauf said he would return home after buying food at the store.”

The defendant said Rauf arrived home about 30 minutes later:

“I reprimanded Rauf by telling him to talk to someone on the phone. In his response, Rauf said that he had insulted Ulviya. As Rauf came towards me on the balcony of the house where we live, I hit him once in the face with my fist. My mother, Samaya, stopped us from fighting. Rauf did not hit me during the fight. There was no bad language. The fight lasted for about 5 minutes. There was no one in the house except our relatives.

According to Rauf, who testified as a victim, on December 29 at around 7:00 p.m. he bought food at a shop in the village and when he returned home, Ulvi called him and asked where he was:

“I also said that I came home after buying food from the store. On the balcony of the house where we live, Ulvi told me what kind of man you are, that your wife Ulvija is talking to someone else on the phone. I told Ulvija that she was insulted and argued with Ulvi. Ulvi suddenly hit me in the face and hurt me. My mother stopped us from fighting. I went to Ucar District Hospital. I did not hit Ulvin during the fight. The fight lasted about 5 minutes.”

This criminal case was heard in the Ujar District Court. Taking into account the reconciliation of the accused with the victim and the fact that the victim did not complain, the court terminated the criminal proceedings against Ulvin. He was acquitted of criminal liability.
