“The World Championship was very difficult for me.”
Oku.Az This was stated by the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Ulvu Ganizadeh (72 kg), answering questions from journalists during the reception at the airport.
Ganizade, who won the world championship in Tirana, the capital of Albania, spoke about the road to the championship and his future goals:
“I fell ill shortly before the World Cup. I had a fever for several days and had no hope of becoming world champion. But fortunately I succeeded. I justified the faith of my coaches and the management of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation. Hopefully, I think I will repeat this result in future competitions. Currently, both in Europe and in the future, I will try to experience this joy for the second and third time.
It should be noted that Ulvu Ganizade won the gold medal by defeating Frenchman Ibrahim Ghanemi 3-2 in the world championship final.
