A fire broke out at the deepwater oil field No. 4 of the NQCI “May 28” of the Production Union (PU) “Azneft” of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
“Report” was informed about this by “Azneft” PU.
Firefighting boats were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the fire was quickly stopped from spreading and completely extinguished.
As a result of the incident, Rafig Isa oglu Islamov, born in 1960, an employee of the Department of Specialized Mining and Oil Equipment No. 1 of PU “Azneft”, died.
The circumstances of the incident are assessed and appropriate action is taken.
