The Consortium of Firefighters of the Deputation of Alicante has strengthened its vehicle fleet with the incorporation of two new pumpers light urban extinguishing and rescue vehicles that will be allocated to the Orihuela and Torrevieja parks, as well as an air reserve container for interventions requiring high consumption.

The air reserve container for special emergencies
The two new light urban pumpers, the cost of which amounts to 726,000 eurosare manufactured by the MAGIRUS company and have a tank with a capacity of 2,000 liters and a foam tank of 100 liters. With interior space for a driver, a corporal and three firefighters, the truck features 4×2 rear-wheel drive, two axles, a turning radius of 6,290mm and relatively small dimensions – 2.3 meters wide by 3.2 high, which makes it very useful for interventions. areas with narrow streets such as the historic centers of municipalities.

Air Reserve Container
The Firefighters Consortium also acquired a Container of Air Reserve whose mission is to provide a continuous supply of air in interventions where high consumption occurs thanks to self-contained respiratory equipment (ERA) such as industrial fireshomes with high consumption, tunnels either chemical emergencies.
The container, from the manufacturer Truck Deal SL and costing 325,000 euros, has a compressor and a loading ramp to fill ten air bottles at a time in 15 minutes. It also offers ten teams of breathing totally autonomous at the start of any intervention. Likewise, the container has an equipment maintenance room with equipment to wash and disinfect ERA masks and canopies around its perimeter to provide shade for staff, as well as an outdoor shower faucet for refreshing or wash.
The container can also be used as replacement equipment for any fire station with a damaged cylinder loading compressor.
