The Toledo firefighters saved a person from drowning in the Tagus River this Friday, as it was crossing the regional capital, as reported on their social networks. The person is a 48-year-old man, resident of Azucaicamissing since the previous night and who was found alive this morning near the Galiana Palace, although with slight signs of hypothermia, according to municipal sources. The man had apparently remained all night on a rock, near a small islet, until his rescue by firefighters.
The Castilla-La Mancha Emergency Service 112 received the alert at 8:20 a.m. and, in addition to the firefighters, agents of the National Police and the Local Police participated in the rescue.
