First case of West Nile virus confirmed in Cadiz province

This was stated by the Vejeriego City Council in a statement published on social networks and consulted by Europa Press, after the Department of Health and Consumption of the Government of Andalusia confirmed this new case to the City Council, the first in the province of Cadiz.

For its part, the municipality has transmitted “all our support to the neighbour concerned and his family”, while asking the rest of the citizens of the municipality “calm and cautious”.

In view of this, the City Council indicated that it continues to act in accordance with the necessary measures of monitoring and control according to the West Nile Fever (WNF) program in Andalusia to reduce the risk of transmission to the population.
