The first official partners for COP29 in Azerbaijan have been announced.
Oku.Az The company reports that these include Azerbaijani companies such as the strategic impact partner “PASHA Holding” and the sustainable development partner “Azersun Holding”. This partnership demonstrates the collective commitment of the companies in question to sustainable action and global climate goals.
Local partners are participating in Azerbaijan’s National Engagement Program. The aim of this program is to improve professional skills and resource management, achieve climate goals, formulate future environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategies and support Azerbaijani companies in terms of compliance with local partnership criteria by participating in consultation and training sessions offered by the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company to assess internal potential.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the partners will expand their activities on global climate policy, prioritize their sustainability efforts and support the transition to climate action in their core business areas. By partnering with the COP29 event in Baku, these companies can demonstrate the important role they play in improving environmental policies and supporting global communities in terms of the 1.5 degrees Celsius goal.
At COP29, these partners will be joined by global companies participating in this year’s exhibitions. These companies include several organisations demonstrating climate-friendly products and related solutions.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the partners, the COP29 Green Zone will become a platform for all stakeholders to meet and exchange experiences and knowledge to promote climate action. In addition to major international organisations that will showcase their products and services, the Green Zone will also host a dedicated programme that will include a wide range of activities such as presentations, seminars, briefings, networking opportunities and musical events.
Among the opportunities created for companies participating in the event are booking options for events in theatre auditoriums, which serve to provide more comfortable visual contact and greater physical participation. In addition, bilateral and multilateral meeting rooms offer opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and networking.
