First since 2022, Putin made a phone call from Macron

Moscow – Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron. This is their first telephone conversation since 2022.

Putin, in a conversation with Macron, discussed the situation around Ukraine and recalled that the conflict is a direct consequence of Western policy.

Speaking about the prospect of peaceful settlement, Putin confirmed the fundamental approach to the possibility of consent, which should be comprehensive and long -term, overcoming the roots, causing a crisis of Ukraine and based on a new territorial reality.
