First suspect arrested in shooting at Wildberries office in central Moscow

Moscow’s Basmanny Court has detained the first defendant in a criminal case over the shooting at the Wildberries office in the center of the capital, TASS reports.

“The court arrested the first participant in the shooting at the Wildberries office. He participated in these events. The court has just announced the decision on his precautionary measure.” – the message said.

As one of the participants in the process pointed out, the investigation requires the arrest of 27 people.

“Yesterday, 13 people were arrested and questioned, today 14. As far as I understand, the commission of inquiry intends to request a preventive measure in the form of detention.” – said the TASS interlocutor.

The day before, a shooting took place in the offices of a market in the centre of Moscow, as a result of which seven people were injured, including two police officers who responded to a call to suppress illegal actions. Two people died from their injuries. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons), Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of firearms), Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on the life of a law enforcement officer), Part 2 of Art. 330 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (arbitrariness).
