The Civil Guard has arrested five people as alleged perpetrators of the theft of rails on the railway tracks of Soria. On the afternoon of September 8, a notice was received at the Operational Center of the Command Services of this province through the emergency telephone number 062 alerting of the presence of several people in a suspicious attitude near the stop of Quintana Redondaplace where they are deposited rails removed during repairs which have recently been carried out on the railway.
Once on site, a patrol identified seven people and two empty vans at that time. After the procedures were carried out, the identified people left the vicinity of the facility.
Subsequently, around 10:00 p.m., a new notification was received regarding the presence of people at the station and although no one was located when the Civil Guard arrived, a search device was set up that allowed the two trucks identified in the afternoon to be located, finding them inside vseveral railroad tracks cut to size to allow transportation and a blowtorch was used for the cutting, which is why the vehicles, the rails and the blowtorch intervened, as well as the arrest of the five people who were traveling in the two vans and who turned out to be residents of Madrid and with a similar criminal record.

The procedure carried out by the Civil Guard Post in collaboration with the five detainees was handed over to the Court of First Instance and Service Instruction of Soria.
