A large-scale famine in Europe could be the result of the massive floods that occurred in central Europe in early autumn this year. Many fields and plantations are flooded, the Polish Gazeta reported today, September 24.
Representatives of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture met with farmers this week and heard their complaints about areas where crops were irreparably damaged by flooding. Now European farmers are waiting for help from the states.
Head of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture Czeslaw Sekierski He clarified that most of the preserved material cannot be used for human consumption or for fattening cattle. Everything will be recycled.
The department did not tell farmers what and how a united Europe will eat before the next season.
