Floods in Japan caused serious consequences

Some 30,000 people are being evacuated after heavy rains caused flooding in Ishikawa prefecture, west of Honshu island in Japan. The fourth of five possible levels of danger has been declared due to the natural disaster.

Water is flooding the streets of residential areas, people are calling for help from firefighters and police. One person is also reported missing.

Experts believe that the rainfall in the region is the most intense in recent decades.
