A man suspected of having killed a student, whose body was found buried on Saturday in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, was arrested on Tuesday, September 24 in Switzerland, a source close to the case learned, confirming information from Actu 17. According to the site, this man is 22 years old and was arrested in Geneva.
The victim, named Philippine and aged 19, was a student at Paris-Dauphine University. Her body was found buried in the Bois de Boulogne, west of Paris, during a hunt on Saturday afternoon.
His family reported him missing. The student was last seen on Friday at lunchtime at the university.
An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened and entrusted to the criminal squad of the Paris judicial police. According to a police source, witnesses claimed to have seen a man with a pickaxe in the area where the young woman’s body was found.
