For the artists of the Paris 2024 ceremonies, a real “JO effect”

On Saturday 14 September, at the top of the Champs-Élysées in Paris, between 8,000 and 10,000 people representing volunteers, Paris 2024 employees and the sporting movement will march in a final parade, requested by President Emmanuel Macron, organised around the Arc de Triomphe in front of 70,000 spectators, and no doubt a few million more behind their television screens. More than 180 athletes, including 82 adorned with gold, silver or bronze, will also take part in the celebrations.

As in the four previous ceremonies, music and artists will be at the heart of this final act of the celebrations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (OG), the first of a “nostalgic Games” which, since the extinguishing of the flame in the Tuileries Garden and the last notes of the flute One more timeDaft Punk’s performance at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis) on the evening of Sunday 8 September seems to want to keep alive the emotions experienced during this Olympic summer.

It must be said that for many of them, the Olympic Games not only brought their works to the fore, but also provoked rare emotions.
