For the first time, Begoña asks Judge Peinado for a procedure aimed at dismantling the fact that he appropriated the “software” of Complutense

This Monday, Begoña Gómez’s defense asked Judge Juan Carlos Peinado to incorporate into the proceedings certain emails which, according to him, show that she signed the technical sheet of the project. software for SMEs created within the master’s degree that he co-directed “because The Complutense University of Madrid indicated expressly.”

The lawyer of the wife of the President of the Government, Antonio Camacho, requested, for the first time, from the instructor a battery of procedures in order to resolve the last complaint admitted in the procedure, in which alleged crimes are attributed to him . of misappropriation and intrusion.

Hazte Oír attributes to Gómez an offense of trespass for having allegedly prepared and drafted the specifications for the procurement, by the Rectorate of Complutense, of a digital tool intended to quantify the “social impact” of small and medium-sized businesses in areas such as environmental sustainability or gender equality.

The misappropriation consists of having offered, through the website of his individual company Transforma TSC SL, a software for SMEs, very similar to that developed (and financed) by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

The first of the requested procedures is the incorporation into the procedure of an email from the head of the UCM School of Government, in which the master co-directed by Gómez was integrated, regarding the start of the project handover file technological. software creation assistance service.

“The technical specifications must be signed by Begoña”says the email, signed by a UCM official whose statement is offered to Peinado.

He also requests that the University auditorElvira Gutiérrez-Vierna, to ratify what she declared last week before the commission of inquiry created in the Assembly of Madrid, in the sense that the signing of the technical prescription documents by Gómez “was carried out in accordance with the regulations of the UCM, since they must be signed by the head of the administrative unit, who in this case was the director of the chair”, explains Camacho.

Domain registration

Concerning the registration of the Internet domain, the lawyer emphasizes that “as the University itself has demonstrated,It has never been registered in the Intellectual Property Register“.

In this regard, the defense provides Peinado with some emails from UCM “which show that the registration of the domain, and not of the intellectual property, was carried out according to the instructions of the Complutense University itself.”

To support this thesis, the defense requests that a statement be received from two members of the Office of Transfer of Research Results (OTRI), “who told Begoña Gómez how she should register the domain.”

In the same writing, the defender explains that “within the framework of the masters offered by the Complutense University There are other masters in which their directors have registered the master’s domain in their name.“.

He gives as an example the case of the Master of Lifelong Training: ESG Sustainability, “in which its co-director Zulma Escalante registered the domain of said master in her name, also being in this case a staff outside the University” .

Regarding the alleged misappropriation of brands, Camacho indicates that “the idea of the name Competitive Social Transformation was brought by Gómez, who proposed it to the Complutense University to give the title to the master’s degree”.

To prove it, he proposes that Carmen Mitxelena, current director of the UCM School of Government, who was at the origin of the master’s degree in Competitive Social Transformation, be summoned to testify.
