declared a forest fire in El Riachuelo, El Paso (La Palma), with a flare crossing the area and visible for several kilometers. Land vehicles were sent to the scene to intervene on the flames, which are worrying and have put the entire island on alert.
Ground resources have been sent to the scene and helicopters have already been tasked with working to control the outbreak of forest fires which was declared at 9:50 p.m. and for which the Cabildo de La Palma has activated level 1 for the coordination of all works.
The fire occurred in weather conditions favorable to the extinguishing teams, since there is no wind in the region.
Social networks were filled with videos and photos of the fire, which the media on the ground were working on and which led, as a preventive measure, to evacuate residents in homes located in the Valencia and Los Barriales neighborhoods, areas that had to be completely evacuated, moving residents to the El Paso Fairgrounds, which is authorized for this purpose.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio RodrĂguez, explained that the idea is “stop him on the road» although conditions are favorable for extinction.
