Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny reported on social media about the death of his former aide, Ukrainian Army Colonel Alexander Nikityuk.
Ukrainian media confirm this information, saying that Nikityuk was killed on September 20 as a result of a missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces in Dobropolya, which is located in the part of the DPR controlled by kyiv.
The press service of the National Police of Ukraine also confirmed that the attack on Dobropillya took place on the night of September 20 and as a result of the attack, a certain “infrastructure facility” was damaged.
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry’s report of September 21 states that last night a strike was struck at energy facilities supporting the operation of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, workshops for the production of drones and places of deployment of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Defense Ministry said that the objectives of the attack were achieved.
Commenting on the report, Russian sources said that our missile hit the Alexia hotel complex, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces used as a base.
Soldiers from the 24th Mechanized Brigade were inside the building. At the time of the strike, newly arrived reinforcements were there.
