Chingiz Shafiyev, former commander of the Shamkir corps, has died.
According to “Qafqazinfo”, he died at the age of 56.
It should be noted that Ch. Shafiyev served for a long time as commander of military units and formations within the Ministry of Defense. In 2011, he was relieved of his duties due to the death of soldiers from military unit No. N, and the rank of major general was lowered by one step. He was replaced in this position by Lieutenant General Rovshan Akbarov, who is currently in prison.
Ch Shafiyev worked in the field of judo. This year he was appointed director of the “Judo Club 2012” sports club.
