The former Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Dagestan was detained on suspicion of receiving a large-scale bribe, the Russian Investigative Committee reports.
According to investigators, from 2013 to 2023, the suspect received a bribe of 60 million rubles from the director of the company to help him conclude government contracts for repair and construction work. In total, 15 contracts worth more than 160 million rubles were concluded.
A criminal case has been opened for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale; In the near future, a preventive measure will be adopted for the former official.
