Former head of the Israeli Defense Ministry, Yoav Galant, called the issuance of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) shameful.
“The ICC’s scandalous decision will remain a shame: it puts the State of Israel and the brutal terrorist organization Hamas on the same level.” — he wrote on his social network page X.
According to him, the ICC decision encourages the murder and kidnapping of Israeli citizens. Galant noted that despite this, Israel will not stop and will continue to achieve its goals.
“The IDF will continue to fight to achieve its objectives: eliminate Hamas, ensure the return of the hostages, and allow communities in northern Israel to return to their homes.” – he clarified.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Yoav Galant and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu November 21. It is noted that they are accused of crimes against humanity and war crimes. The court has reason to believe that Israel’s Prime Minister and the former head of the country’s Defense Ministry are criminally responsible as civilian commanders “for the war crime of deliberately attacking the civilian population.”
