The first preliminary hearing of the criminal case against Mehman Hashimov, former head of the Sukanal department of the Surakhani district, accused of accepting bribes, was held.
Oku.AzAccording to the defendant’s information, the information in the defendant’s questionnaire was clarified at the first preparatory meeting chaired by Baku Serious Crimes Court Judge Rasim Sadigov.
The preventive detention measure imposed against him remained in force without changes. The decision was made to submit the criminal case to judicial investigation. The next court session is scheduled for November 27.
It should be noted that Mehman Hashimov was dismissed from his position as a result of complex inspections carried out in the local branches of the liquidated OJSC “Azersu”. He was found guilty of accepting a large amount of bribes using his official powers, and materials were collected and he was charged.
