“Formula 1”: Baku City Circuit reconstructed the “Green Pole” at Turn 19 of the track

Baku City Circuit (BSC) reconstructed the “Green Pole” at Turn 19 of the Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix track

Oku.Az reports that BSH has published information on this matter.

This step was reportedly taken in line with its ongoing commitment to environmental protection.

The project, founded last year, aims to raise global awareness of environmental protection through the huge popularity of motor sport.

The Green Post symbolises our commitment to a greener, more environmentally friendly future for motorsport. Marshals at this post are provided with specially designed green marshal uniforms made entirely from recycled materials. In addition, all equipment used at the post complies with strict environmental standards, minimising the use of plastic and favouring environmentally friendly alternatives.

Through this initiative, the BCCI demonstrates the important role that motorsport plays in promoting environmental responsibility and presents a successful project within Formula 1’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) activities.

Since 2019, F1 has implemented a sustainability strategy to achieve its Net Zero Carbon goal by 2030, innovate in every city where it races and make the sport inclusive.

It is worth noting that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will conclude today.
