A drone launched by Hezbollah on Sunday afternoon attacked an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base near the town of Binyamin-Givat Ada, killing four soldiers, the army’s press service reported.
“On Sunday, a drone launched… by Hezbollah attacked a military base near Binyamina,” – says the message.
Four IDF soldiers were killed in the attack and seven more were seriously injured and taken to hospitals.
Earlier, Israeli TV Channel 12 reported that around 7:00 p.m. Moscow time, two unmanned aerial vehicles flew into Israeli territory. One of them was intercepted in the Krayot area, north of Haifa, but the second UAV continued to advance south and exploded near the city of Binyamina.
According to the Times of Israel, the second UAV could not be shot down because it disappeared from radar, probably because it was flying at low altitude.
The Israel Ambulance Press Service (MDA) reported that more than 60 people were injured of varying degrees of severity as a result of the drone attack.
