They are accused of illegal possession of weapons, drug trafficking and membership in a criminal gang.
The Civil Guard arrested in the Leonese towns of Veguellina de Órbigo and Quintanilla del Monte Three men and a woman as alleged perpetrators of several thefts with force committed in homes and establishments in the last two years. They are also accused of illegal possession of weapons and harm to public health, in the form of drug trafficking, in addition to belonging to a criminal gang.
The operation began in June following the proliferation in the first half of the year of property crimes (thefts with force in primary and secondary residences) in the regions of Páramo, Órbigo and Maragatería, where the perpetrators used a very similar modus operandi. After several months of investigation, it was possible to gather sufficient evidence against the people currently detained, reports Ical.
During the searches, various objects related to the events investigated were seized, such as numerous firearms (pistols and shoulder weapons), ammunition, large quantities of jewelry and watches, narcotic substances and objects related to drug trafficking (precision scales and packaging), but also a very large quantity of tools (chainsaws or radials), electronic devices and numismatic objects (old coins and banknotes), as well as cash. With these arrests, many crimes committed over two years are considered solved.
