National Police Agents They arrested four men, one of them is a minor, for seven offences of robbery with violence and intimidation of his victims, who were always men. They communicated with them via online dating, creating fake profiles for which they used images of the younger members.
When they were with them, they used their terminals to do shipments and transfers in money. After being placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, three of them were sentenced to prison.
The investigation began at the end of August, when several complaints were detected in different places in the Community of Madrid, coinciding with other events. with identical characteristics, which alerted investigators that it could be the same perpetrators.
They contacted the victims through various contact platforms, using a fake profilewhich included so-called “temporary” photographs that could not subsequently be recovered.
Once the meeting was arranged, usually at the homes of the injured or in places where there was not a large influx of people so that they could not ask for help, they threatened them with a knife and a gun, beating them brutally.
They then accessed their phones and were able to perform operations such as transfers, then search homes, stealing valuables such as tablets, computers and jewelry, as well as a total amount of 6,769 euros.
One of the complainants was pressured into getting into a vehicle while being threatened with a firearm and a knife, force him to buy beer at a nearby gas station. After the purchase, they beat him several times until he made several transfers with his mobile terminal, which was eventually stolen.
In just three weeks, investigators managed to arrest the members of this group, accused of seven violent robberies and intimidation, injuries, membership in a criminal group and hate crimes, as they even uttered degrading insults attacking the sexual status of the persons concerned.
The adults were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, which finally decreed the imprisonment of allwhile the minor was placed at the disposal of the juvenile prosecutor’s office, which decreed a closed regime in a juvenile center.
