The government delegate in Castile and León, Nicanor Sen, reported this Wednesday that there are already four people identified for the attack that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, August 27, at the Desierto Rojo bar in Valladolid, located in the Maidens neighborhood. Street.
In this sense, Sen explained that this fact is still under investigation by the National Police, and added that there is information about the injuries of one of the people who were attacked, which was reported to the National Police Delicias Police Station, through the medical center.
Furthermore, he said that the injuries “were not serious” and confirmed that, according to the information available, “this attack occurred based on what was indicated on one of the shirts that one of the people was wearing.”
The National Police had to intervene early this Tuesday at the Desierto Rojo bar in Valladolid, located on Doncellas Street, due to a fight in which at least ten people participated, as confirmed to Europe by government press sources. Delegation.
According to the Communist Workers’ Party of Spain (PCTE), a member of their party and his companion were attacked while one of them, without speaking to anyone, was preparing to order at the bar.
At that moment, again according to the PCTE, an individual began to scold one of the two young men mentioned for the simple fact of wearing a T-shirt on which the word “antifascist” could be read and also began to hit him. , at that moment the victim’s companion tried to intervene since his friend had fallen to the ground. It was then that other companions of the aggressor confronted the latter and tried to attack him.
After this first attack, according to the PCTE version, incidents were repeated outside the establishment.
“In recent weeks we have revived the presence of fascists in the leisure areas of Valladolid and this attack confirms the escalation of violence and the impunity of the fascists in this city, which is why we call on all workers to organize and take extreme precautions against these facts,” concludes the PCTE.
One of the people attacked would also be a representative of the CCOO union of Castilla y León, as the union indicated in a statement to denounce an attack that it associates with a “hate crime”. The union detailed that this CCOO delegate was attacked because he was wearing a t-shirt with the words “antifascist” on it when he was in the establishment.
The union argued that those who defend “freedom and democracy” will not “tolerate this type of action, which must be fought by society and punished as hate crimes.” security to investigate the facts so that the perpetrators of the crime are punished as provided by law.
According to the Government Delegation, the incident occurred around 3:15 am on Tuesday inside the bar. When the police arrived, the people involved in the fight left the premises in a hurry.
